Recently I ventured over to Myspace to search for an old blog I wrote about the silliness of parenting message boards, and got caught in the past. I had a regular blog on there that I started four years ago, so I am reading from the beginning to the end, which I believe was in 2008 sometime.
It is very interesting to read my entries now, and peek into a time when I was a stressed, sick, stay at home mom. I posted everything back then, from daily activities to movie reviews. Of course I also had readers back then ;)
I think that is the direction I would like to take with this blog. I miss having an outlet where I can describe my day and how I feel about the happenings. I won't be as candid as I was on Myspace because of course this is public, but expect many more blog entries from here on out!

La Vie est la Musique
I haven't posted any new music lately, so today I thought I would post a few of my current favorites. Also, tomorrow night I will be going to see Marianas Trench, and I am so psyched!! So naturally I chose a couple of their videos.
How about we start with them? These are all hyperlinks, so just click on the title of the songs :D
This one is my favorite: All to Myself and my second favorite is Say Anything. One of their goofier songs is Shake Tramp, I love that video! I cannot wait to see them live, I think they will be a hoot and a half! Yeah I said it!
Another group I am loving lately is State of Shock. My favorite by them right now is Different Day. It doesn't have a video, but it's worth a listen! Cobra Starship is a new band that has "Nothing to do with the 80s group Starship!" according to the radio. I don't think Starship is all bad, they did put out Nothing's Gonna Stop Us, which is in my top 10 alltime favorites! Anywho, Cobra Starship put out a hit in 2009 called Good Girls Go Bad and I lurv it!! Very cool. It also features Leighton Meester from the hit show Gossip Girl, a show I do not watch, and I have to say she has a decent voice.
That takes care of pop. Now on to country!
Lady Antebellum is a coed country band that seems to be sweeping the nation, and the radio. I first heard their song Need You Now on the country station here, but now I can hear it on all my favorite stations! I have heard a couple of their other songs, but I'm not in love...yet.
Another country song I really like right now is When it Ain't Raining by One More Girl. They remind me a bit of the Dixie Chicks, very nice sound to them.
Alright I think that's enough videos for today!

Week-end Magnifique

After months of stress and worry, I had a wonderful night away from home. Montana and I went to visit a dear friend and her amazing family; someone I wrote about in October after our first meeting--DM.
I took Little Kub with me because it was our (my mom's and my) night to have him, and DM and I thought it would be fun to have him meet her littles. We went for dinner, and then back to her house where the kids let loose and had a blast! I loved sitting there and watching them interact, it was wonderful.
All the kids got along famously, as they did last time, and DM's little boy even told Montana that he really likes her and she is "so beautiful." Very sweet!
Spending time with DM was exactly what I needed in the middle of all my chaos, and now I feel a lot more relaxed and (hopefully) able to deal with whatever comes my way this week, even if I am a little under the weather (grr, such timing.)
So thank you DM for such a great visit!
Also, I have some great news tonight: Kub took a couple steps from the couch to me! He reached for my finger, but I made sure not to give him too much support. He seemed to have enough confidence with that, and he was so steady! I could not be more proud of that little guy!! He was so excited and proud of himself too he cracked up! He then did it again for me, and then for Montana. I am ecstatic with his improvement over the past couple weeks, and we will be working with him more and more so he can reach his potential. He is such a sweetheart!
All in all, a perfect weekend.
